Courier Relations
Location: Pembroke, ON

Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday (Occasional evening or weekend duties may be required)
Salary Range: $40,000 - $45,000/year
Benefits: Benefits package offered after 3 month probationary period completed

Position Overview: As Courier Relations at Valley Eats, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our Couriers. This high-performance position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to maintain positive relationships with our Couriers and facilitate seamless integration into the Valley Eats team.
Responsibilities:

Conduct interviews with potential candidates for the Courier position, assessing their qualifications and suitability for the role.

Ensure all necessary documentation is received and completed from hired Couriers, maintaining accurate and up-to-date files for each driver.

Set up new Courier accounts for newly hired Couriers, ensuring they have the necessary access and resources to perform their duties.

Develop and maintain weekly schedules for Couriers in each market, taking into account availability, operational requirements, and Courier preferences.

Monitor and maintain the stock of Courier supplies and delivery bags, ensuring an adequate supply for all Couriers.

Address questions, concerns, and inquiries from current Couriers, providing timely and effective support to maintain their engagement and satisfaction.

Implement disciplinary action for Couriers when necessary, following company policies and procedures.

Assist Dispatch Analysts & Customer Service Team in acquiring additional Couriers when needed, working proactively to address any gaps in coverage.

Coordinate and conduct Courier training sessions to ensure all Couriers are familiar with Valley Eats' operating procedures, delivery standards, and customer service expectations.

Monitor Courier performance and adherence to company policies, providing feedback and coaching as necessary to improve efficiency, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with the Operations team to identify process improvements and implement strategies to optimize driver productivity and overall operational effectiveness.

Assist in resolving any driver-related issues, such as complaints, incidents, or accidents, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support the efficient and effective operation of the Courier Relations function.
Requirements:

Proficiency in Google Suite, including Google Docs, Sheets, and Gmail, is an asset.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with Couriers, team members, and the general public.
